Overview
A Plus Laundry is a doorstep laundry service app designed to make ordering laundry services as simple as online shopping. Offering services like washing, ironing, dry cleaning, and deep cleaning, the app focuses on user-friendly navigation, flexibility with features like “laundry by weight,” and live order tracking. My goal was to create an intuitive, e-commerce-inspired experience that allows users to easily manage their laundry needs from start to finish.

To make A Plus Laundry’s customer app as seamless as shopping on any top-tier e-commerce platform, I focused on a simple, intuitive user experience. Within a month, as the sole designer, I crafted a familiar yet fresh interface that users could navigate easily.

Crafting the Information Architecture (IA)

With a clear direction in mind, I built the app’s information architecture to be straightforward and easy to follow.
Consulting Developers for Feasibility
After consulting with developers, I refined the IA to ensure both user needs and technical feasibility were addressed, achieving a balanced structure without compromising on simplicity. The final UI featured four main sections: Home, Services, Orders, and Basket. The homepage also displayed key service listings, user-focused lists, and promotional banners.

Streamlining the Ordering Flow
Wireframes to High Fidelity UI
A smooth ordering flow was crucial, so I kept it intuitive and familiar.
Laundry "per KG" Feature
The laundry "per KG” feature allowed users to select weight via a toggle switch and dial, adding flexibility.
Smooth Order Flow
Users could combine multiple services per order, adding each to the basket for easy checkout. At checkout, options included pickup and delivery preferences, coupons, and payment methods, making ordering quick and efficient.
